Chelsea Palmer
Graduate Student Intern
I am a graduate intern in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, currently completing my Master’s degree. My approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and mindfulness practices, focusing on helping clients build resilience, self-awareness, and practical coping skills. I aim to create a collaborative and supportive space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to work toward their goals. I value cultural responsiveness and tailor interventions to each individual’s unique needs and background. Outside of counseling, I enjoy Pilates, photography, and attending live music events, which help me recharge and stay present both personally and professionally.
Insurances I Accept:
Aetna, CHP+, Cigna, Medicaid, and Private Pay
How I Work:
In our sessions, clients can expect a collaborative, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where their voice is valued. I believe therapy works best when it is tailored to each individual, drawing from their strengths and honoring their unique experiences. My style blends Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and mindfulness practices to help clients identify goals, develop practical coping skills, and create meaningful change. I view the counseling process as a partnership—we will work together to explore challenges, uncover patterns, and build strategies that align with your values. Clients can expect a balance of active listening, thoughtful feedback, and actionable tools to support growth both inside and outside of sessions.
