Art Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate
I am a compassionate Art Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate specializing in trauma-informed care for adolescents and adults, integrating mindfulness techniques and principles of transpersonal psychology to facilitate holistic healing and personal growth.
With over a decade of experience in the mental health field, I employ creative expression and mindfulness practices to help clients access deeper levels of self-awareness, connect with their inner selves, and explore transcendent aspects of their experience. I am dedicated to creating a safe, supportive environment where folks can process complex emotions, foster resilience, build self awareness, develop healthy coping skills, and tap into their innate potential for transformation and healing; through a blend of art therapy, mindfulness, and developmental approaches.
A little about art therapy: Using art in therapy offers unique benefits beyond traditional talk therapy by providing a non-verbal, expressive medium that allows individuals to access and communicate complex emotions and experiences that may be difficult to articulate with words alone. Art is for everyone, no skills/experience necessary!
I am a mother, animal lover, nature enjoyer, and reader who loves taking my time to enjoy the small moments in life!
Insurances I Accept:
Aetna, BCBS, CHP+, Cigna, Kaiser, Medicaid, Private Pay, and United
How I Work:
It is my goal to create a safe and supportive space for clients to process complex emotions, foster resilience, build self-awareness and coping skills, and tap into your innate potential; all through art therapy, mindfulness, talk therapy or a mix!
Art therapy is not just for artists, it is for everyone. It fosters creativity that may have been lost in "growing up", self-exploration, emotional release, and can enable humans to process trauma non-verbally; reducing stress and pressure to build resilience and insight.
