Disclaimer: We are ethically obligated to refer clients out if treatment issues seem to necessitate a higher level of care than we are able to offer or are outside the scope of our practice. This can come up with issues like having a high level of suicide risk, self-injury, or severe and persistent mental illness in cases such as psychosis or delusional disorders. We also reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who is disrespectful to our staff.
We want to help you get the perfect fit, so we view intakes are intake consultations in which you and the therapist will determine if it is an optimal fit between you. If so, you will remain with that therapist. If not, they will assess what other therapist with A New Leaf Therapy would be a good fit and help transition you over. The therapist you would see ongoing would get access to the information you share in your intake assessment so that you would not need to start over with them. If your symptoms require a higher level of care, your intake therapist would let you know what organization they think could best serve you and give you contact information to be able to reach out to them.
