Justin Siegel

Graduate Student Intern

I am currently a graduate level intern at Adams State University.I use an integrative approach, which means I draw from different counseling styles to best meet your needs. At times, we may explore your thoughts and behaviors (as in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy); other times, we’ll focus on your values and goals (drawing from person-centered or existential therapy). We might also use mindfulness or solution-focused techniques when appropriate. My goal is to support your growth in a way that feels authentic, collaborative, and effective for you. I have a passion for all sports, but I especially excel at high-level golf. I also enjoy mountain biking, hiking, and camping.

Insurances I Accept:

Aetna, CHP+, Cigna, Medicaid, and Private Pay

How I Work:

I believe you are worthy of being accepted for who you truly are, not who others might assume you to be. My role as your counselor is to meet you where you are, offering a space where you can be open, observant, and objective as you explore identity, purpose, and meaning in life. Together, we will reflect on and challenge thought patterns, behaviors, and habits to increase both personal and relational well-being. Grounded in the belief that you have the power to choose, I will support you in discovering meaning and fulfillment. Counseling is a holistic process where you’ll be empowered to live intentionally—responding rather than merely reacting—by identifying your strengths and creating a plan for growth. I believe in your ability to make the impossible possible through honesty, growth, and the courage to become your best self.
