Jessica Santangelo

Clinical Supervisor

Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor

I have been practicing as a licensed mental health clinician in a variety of settings over the past 25 years.  I have a BA in Fine Arts and Elementary Education from Virginia Wesleyan College, a MA in Community Counseling from Adams State University, and two years of PhD studies in Jungian Psychology from Saybrook University. Additionally, I am certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and have completed extensive studies in Synergistic Play Therapy. I believe people are influenced by a variety of forces, and I approach therapy from a biopsychosocialspiritual model of treatment.  This approach considers many different aspects of each person's life, and the most effective, researched ways of addressing issues in those different areas.  I like traveling, exploring new places, concerts, being outdoors, animals, and thrifting.

Insurance I Accept:

Aetna, BCBS, CHP+, Cigna, Kaiser, Medicaid, UMR, and United

How I Work:

After many years of treating people in a clinical setting, I have learned that there are a myriad of experiences and situations that shape who we are as individuals - mind, body and spirit. It is my intent to learn about these experiences and perceptions to try to understand what is underlying emotions and behaviors, and co-create goals and a treatment plan that meet each individual's needs. I enjoy learning about each client and what makes them unique, and partnering with that person to achieve their best outcomes.
