Allana Miller

Clinician

Licensed Social Worker

Do you seem to have everything together on the outside but are struggling on the inside? You may be the person others rely on. You're the perfectionist, the people pleaser, or the one who puts everyone else’s needs before your own, while privately you're dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, or feeling like you’re never doing enough.

Maybe you’ve been masking or managing your symptoms for a long time, but coping isn’t enough anymore. You want to understand why you feel and respond the way you do and make meaningful changes by learning about your symptoms and improving them.

My approach is collaborative, person-centered, and tailored to you. I believe understanding your symptoms and patterns can be a powerful first step toward changing them. Together, we can work toward greater self-compassion, healthier patterns, boundaries, and making space for your own needs, not just everyone else’s.

I draw from evidence-based approaches including CBT and DBT and am also trained in Brainspotting, a powerful trauma therapy approach that can help clients process experiences and emotions that may feel difficult to work through with talk therapy alone.

I especially enjoy working with people who are experiencing anxiety, perfectionism, depression, grief, people-pleasing, and difficulty prioritizing themselves. I also love working with children and adolescents.

Insurances I Accept:

Aetna, BCBS, CHP+, Cigna, Kaiser, Medicaid, and United

How I Work:

I am a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) with experience supporting diverse populations through case management services. My practice is grounded in a person-centered and strengths-based approach, empowering individuals to make meaningful changes in their lives. I tailor therapy to each client’s unique needs, drawing from evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy. My work is informed by an understanding of how individuals are shaped by their environments and systems, which guides my holistic approach to care. Therapy with me is collaborative and tailored to what works best for you. I won't just focus on helping you cope with symptoms. I want to help you understand the patterns behind them and develop tools for meaningful change. Clients can expect a person-centered approach, with a strong emphasis on their unique strengths. I tailor my therapeutic approach by drawing from a range of evidence-based modalities, adapting to each client’s individual needs and presenting challenges.

I use a person-centered, strengths-based approach and draw from CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, psychoeducation, and Brainspotting based on each client's individual needs and goals.

Outside of work, I enjoy yoga, hiking, paddleboarding, watching movies, binge-watching TV shows, and spending quality time with family and friends.
