Amelia Ellison

Graduate Student Intern

I am a Counselor-in-Training obtaining my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado. I ascribe to a Person-Centered modality that emphasizes unconditional positive regard and each individual being the expert of their own lived experiences. Somatic therapy is also a component of my work, guiding you to feel present in your body throughout our sessions. It is my hope to be warm and intentional in our space as we navigate through whatever life has thrown your way!

I love musicals, video games, live music, and so much more! When I'm not in sessions, you can find me drinking copious amounts of coffee, roller skating, and writing. I look forward to being able to connect with you!

Insurances I Accept:

Aetna, CHP+, Cigna, Medicaid, and Private Pay

How I Work:

I am a huge believer that you know more about your life and lived experience than I do! My role is to walk alongside you with warmth, and collaborate closely with you to ensure we are taking the steps you believe to be the most beneficial for you. In sessions, I will likely utilize breathing techniques to ground us in the space, and explore emotions that present in your body.

Issues I Treat:

Anxiety, Depression, LGBTQIA+, Life Stressors, Religious Trauma/Spiritual Abuse, Trauma, Adjustment/Change, Neurodivergence
