Brittany Jackson
Graduate Student Intern
Brittany works with teens ages 13+ and adults who may be feeling stressed, anxious, depressed, down on themselves, or unsure of where they belong. Her clients may be struggling with confidence, feeling overwhelmed by their emotions, or simply feeling stuck and wanting a supportive place to figure out what comes next.
Brittany believes therapy should be collaborative and individualized. You are the expert on your own life, and there isn't one "right" way for a therapy session to look. Some days you may need space to talk and process. Other days, you may want to try something more hands-on or structured. Depending on what feels helpful to you, Brittany can incorporate approaches such as art, grounding exercises, worksheets, Gestalt techniques, role play, and other interventions. She'll work with you to find what fits you rather than expecting you to fit a particular approach to therapy.
For teens, Brittany especially enjoys helping young people who feel like they don't quite fit in, struggle with confidence, or have a hard time understanding and managing big emotions. Her goal is to give teens a space where they can feel heard, accepted, and comfortable being themselves while building confidence and learning healthier ways to cope with their emotions.
Brittany also offers Christian counseling for clients who would like to incorporate their faith into therapy. Faith is always optional and is only included when it is something the client wants as part of their sessions.
Above all, Brittany wants her clients to feel heard, valued, respected, and genuinely supported. Whether you're trying to feel more confident, better understand yourself, manage difficult emotions, or find your way through a stressful season, Brittany will meet you where you are and work alongside you toward where you want to be.
