Licensed Social Worker

It’s hard to feel confident when you’re constantly questioning yourself.

Maybe you worry too much about what other people think. You have a hard time speaking up, setting boundaries, or saying what you really mean. You replay conversations afterward and wonder if you said the wrong thing. Or you know you’re capable, but somehow you still don’t feel good enough.

If you’re a kid or teen, self doubt can show up differently. You might compare yourself to other kids, be afraid to speak up, feel overwhelmed when you make a mistake, or have a hard time putting what you’re thinking and feeling into words.

If you’ve experienced trauma, difficult relationships, abuse, workplace stress, loss, or major life changes, you may also find that your confidence isn’t what it used to be. Therapy can help you make sense of what you’ve been through, find more peace, and learn healthier ways to cope with difficult emotions.

You can also work on the negative thoughts that feed self doubt and become more comfortable communicating openly and assertively.

The goal isn’t to become someone different. It’s to trust yourself more, speak up for what you need, and feel more confident being you.
