Lindsey Dunbar
Clinician
Licensed Professional Counselor
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and graduated with my Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from University of Phoenix. I also hold a Master’s Degree in Public Health Sciences and Worksite Wellness. I began working as a health educator for the Pueblo Department of Public Health and Environment (PDPHE) on a grant focused on mental health, stigma reduction, and suicide prevention. Through this work and personal experiences, I discovered my calling to become a therapist and started working on my second master’s degree in 2019. I was a mentor for several months through Miscarriage Matters, Inc., helping women across the country who have suffered through their own struggles process, cope, and grieve their pregnancy and/or infant losses. Having gone through five consecutive miscarriages myself, this topic became very near and dear to my heart. I work from a person-centered, humanistic, and strengths-based approach, while combining aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Brain Synchronization Therapy (BST), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Narrative Therapy, and Mindfulness Practice. In my spare time, I love spending time with my husband and husky, watching Disney movies and listening to Disney music, hiking, running, lazy beach days, biking, yoga, being out in nature, playing piano, and traveling (especially to Disney)!
Insurances I Accept:
Aetna, BCBS, CHP+, Cigna, Kaiser, Medicaid, Private Pay, and United
