Licensed Professional Counselor

You made it through what happened. But sometimes your body and emotions don’t seem to know that the trauma is over.

Maybe you’re easily overwhelmed, always on alert, disconnected from yourself, or having reactions that feel much bigger than what’s happening in the moment. You may be grieving someone or something you lost, struggling with painful memories, or carrying experiences you’ve learned to live around but never really healed from.

You’ve survived a lot. You’ve figured out how to keep going. But surviving something and feeling good again aren’t always the same thing.

Therapy can help you begin to feel safer in your own body, understand the reactions that have stayed with you, and learn skills to move through difficult emotions without becoming overwhelmed by them.

You don’t have to force yourself to relive everything that happened in order to heal. You can learn to calm your body, feel more present in your life, and carry what happened differently. Healing from trauma can be gentle.

How I Work:

I enjoy working with people of all walks of life 18+ who have struggled with any type of trauma whether it is a "little t" or a "big T". I focus on using a humanistic style of counseling. I provide both supportive therapy, trauma based therapy, and coping skills to my clients. The therapeutic alliance is important to me and I enjoy having a sense of connection with my clients. I also believe that anyone and everyone can benefit from therapy.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. The main therapeutic techniques I use include DBT, CBT, mindfulness, EMDR, BST, and shadow work. I am trained in EMDR therapy. I use somatic approaches, mindfulness approaches, bilateral stimulation and even reiki! My clients would say I am eclectic and focus on what works in the most gentle way possible.

A little bit about myself is that I absolutely love animals and spending time with my family. You could also catch me singing in my car or my shower!
